About Me

About Me

Meet the Artist: Christina Radisic

My First Love: The Natural World

For as long as I can remember, nature has been my greatest inspiration.  I find a profound peace in the quiet details that many might walk past: the intricate texture of bark, the iridescent sheen on a single feather, or the vibrant burst of a wildflower in the hedgerow.

It's these simple, everyday wonders that captivate me.  My goal is to capture that "quiet beauty" and bring a piece of the outdoors into your home.

A New Chapter in Suffolk

My artistic journey truly began when I moved to a small village in Suffolk.  Surrounded by the big skies and diverse wildlife of the East Anglian countryside, I felt an almost overwhelming urge to start drawing.

I initially tried following traditional "how-to" books, but I found them rigid and frustrating.  It wasn't until I discovered the world of coloured pencil tutorials on YouTube that everything clicked.  From that moment, I never looked back.

The Art of the "Slow Build"

I am completely self-taught, and I have fallen in love with the medium of coloured pencils; specifically Faber-Castell Polychromos.  I adore the control they offer; they allow me to slowly and meticulously build up dozens of layers to capture the depth, light, and soul of the animals I draw.

What started as a way to create unique pieces for my own walls quickly grew into making cards and gifts for friends and family.  Now, I am so excited to share these pieces with you.

Why I Draw

Drawing from nature brings a deep sense of joy and balance to my life.  Whether it's a Chiffchaff from my garden or a Barn Owl spotted at dusk, each piece represents a moment of connection with the world around us.

When you buy a print or an original from my shop, you aren't just buying a picture; you're sharing in that moment of peace and the simple joy of the natural world.
