Inspired by the multitude of neighbouring cats who frequent Christina's wildlife garden (some hunting, some just napping) this artwork captures the elegant simplicity and alertness of a bright white feline. This piece was a personal challenge to master the intricate detail of fine, white fur, using coloured pencil to create depth and texture without relying on the paper colour alone.

Crafted over 35 hours (the increased time reflects the complexity of the fur), the original piece was meticulously created using Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils on smooth, 250gsm Bristol Board. The rendering focuses on light and shadow, giving the cat a tangible, soft presence.

The result is a realistic portrayal that celebrates the domestic animal as a natural element of the garden landscape. This print makes a perfect gift for any cat lover or collector of detailed animal portraiture.
